Overview of Child Support Calculations in New Mexico

The first step in determining child support in New Mexico is to figure out if you should be using Worksheet A or Worksheet B. Accordingly, which worksheet is the first webpage in the calculation section of this site. The wrong worksheet is the most common mistake people have in calculating their support. With self-represented individuals, I suspect the mistake is sometimes committed on purpose. Determining a person's income is the next step on the worksheet. After you determine the income, you need to calculate daycare costs, dental and health insurance costs, and extraordinary expenses.
